Micro-Heat Desiccant Air Dryers Our Micro-Heat Desiccant Air Dryers, though sharing foundational similarities with the Heatless Air Dryer, boast an innovative enhancement. This unique system involves the compressed dried air being efficiently channeled through a high-performance external heater prior to its entry into the offline (B) Tower. This crucial step is pivotal for regenerating the desiccant material. The advanced heating method allows the air to retain significantly more moisture, which in turn reduces the volume of dry compressed air required for the regeneration phase. While the inclusion of heater-related components implies a higher initial capital outlay, the strategic reduction in diverted compressed air usage results in notably lower operational costs.
The Desiccant Air Dryer's core components include two robust pressure vessels(Tower A & Tower B). Each is densely packed with desiccant material and they are ingeniously alternated using a switch-over mechanism. During the drying cycle, the incoming compressed air traverses one of these vessels, where the high-efficiency desiccant thoroughly removes moisture through anadsorption process). Prior to the purging of moisture into the atmosphere via a muffler, the moisture absorbed within the desiccant in the secondary vessel is effectively eliminated through a regeneration process. Once the desiccant within the in-use vessel reaches moisture saturation, a seamless switch occurs between adsorption and regeneration functions across both vessels, thereby recommencing the drying cycle.
This entire sequence, from adsorption to regeneration within a vessel, is defined as a complete cycle. The duration required for this full cycle is termed as the cycle time. Typically, a standard cycle time is approximately 10 minutes, comprising 5 minutes dedicated to regeneration and another 5 minutes to adsorption.
